Polk Street Ferry and Bridge, 1908 | ||||

While bridges replaced ferries in most spots, occasionally ferries were maintained even after bridge construction. This was
the case in the early twentieth century at 18th Street along the south branch of the Chicago River, where a ferry transported
goods in view of the Polk Street Bridge.
