Millennium Park and View Northeast from Santa Fe Building, 2004

The city's largest development of the lakefront for public use was the construction of the 24.5-acre Millennium Park at the northwest corner of Grant Park, east of Michigan Avenue between Randolph and Monroe Streets. The park opened to the public July 2004.
