Wacker Drive, c.1930
|
Wacker Drive was initially part of Daniel H. Burnham's 1909
Plan of Chicago. He envisioned a two-level street to replace the South Water Street Market. This segment, designed by Edward H. Bennett and completed in 1926, is seen here within a decade after construction.
