The planners were eager to keep subscribers aware of how the process was progressing, in part so that they would be willing to contribute again as more funds were needed.

Invitation to a Special Viewing

 

Subscribers were invited to special viewings on February 28 and 29, 1908. Although Burnham himself was ill and could not attend, the viewings went on as scheduled.

Appeal to Subscribers

 

On November 19, 1908, the planners sent out this solicitation to subscribers, summarizing the work to date and asking for pledges of another three hundred dollars from each subscriber.
