Within a few years, swimming facilities in Austin included this swimming pool at Columbus Park. These young women sport bathing suits and caps that seem quite modern for 1916.

While swimming at this West Town pool in 1914 was much more routinized than swimming at regional rivers or lakes, these boys enjoy the water. A line of boys in the background await their turn to swim in a pool supervised by adults.
